About the Role

Sourcing Analyst


As a Sourcing Analyst, you will be responsible for researching, analysing, and evaluating market data related to vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers. Your insights will drive strategic sourcing decisions and help ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain. This role requires close coordination with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to support inventory strategies, supplier performance, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead contract negotiations, including pricing, terms and conditions, and lead times.

  • Monitor and manage supplier performance through the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and corrective action plans when necessary.

  • Issue and award blanket Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and review expiring contracts for re-bid opportunities.

  • Maintain and update pricing and lead-time data in purchasing systems.

  • Promote the adoption of electronic and automated purchasing interfaces; analyze spending and product usage to identify standardization opportunities.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supply chain issues, fostering strong supplier and customer relationships.

  • Stay current with market trends, supplier landscapes, and economic indicators to inform sourcing strategies.

  • Analyze material demand and develop effective inventory or alternative sourcing strategies to ensure high availability at optimal cost.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives such as supplier negotiations, product standardization efforts, and category strategy development.

  • Collaborate with sales engineering to align supplier strategies with customer needs.

  • Ensure sourcing and inventory plans support broader customer goals and performance metrics.


Requirements


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing/ERP systems and performance management skills

  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to deliver customer-centric solutions

  • Experience in vendor relations, conflict resolution, and change management

  • Excellent communication and consensus-building capabilities
