About the Role
The Electrical/Utility/Site Services Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and improving site-wide electrical and utility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The role involves a blend of planned maintenance, reactive support, system monitoring, and technical problem-solving within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Work with PLC control systems, including monitoring, basic programming adjustments, and troubleshooting.
Maintain and optimise equipment across site
Conduct electrical fault finding and diagnostics to minimise downtime.
Monitor, maintain, and control site utility systems such a fire sprinkler systems
Ensure all utilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site standards.
Carry out routine planned maintenance on electrical equipment.
Respond promptly to breakdowns and support rapid resolution.
Produce basic maintenance reports and update records accurately.
Maintain clear and accurate logs of maintenance activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives through reporting and analysis.
Requirements
Experience Required
Minimum
Experience working within a production or manufacturing environment.
Ideal
Strong working knowledge of:
PLCs
Variable speed drives
Compressors
Qualifications
Minimum
City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering
Ideal
HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
18th Edition IEE Regulations
