About the Role

The Electrical/Utility/Site Services Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and improving site-wide electrical and utility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The role involves a blend of planned maintenance, reactive support, system monitoring, and technical problem-solving within a fast-paced production environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Work with PLC control systems, including monitoring, basic programming adjustments, and troubleshooting.

  • Maintain and optimise equipment across site

  • Conduct electrical fault finding and diagnostics to minimise downtime.

  • Monitor, maintain, and control site utility systems such a fire sprinkler systems

  • Ensure all utilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site standards.

  • Carry out routine planned maintenance on electrical equipment.

  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and support rapid resolution.

  • Produce basic maintenance reports and update records accurately.

  • Maintain clear and accurate logs of maintenance activities.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through reporting and analysis.

Requirements

Experience Required

Minimum


  • Experience working within a production or manufacturing environment.


Ideal

  • Strong working knowledge of:

  • PLCs

  • Variable speed drives

  • Compressors

 

Qualifications


Minimum

  • City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering


Ideal

  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering

  • 18th Edition IEE Regulations
