About the Role

1. Internal Sales & Commercial Support

  • Support the business development and external sales team with opportunity management.

  • Assist with preparation for client meetings and follow‑up actions.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring leads, pipelines, and contacts are fully up to date.

2. Market Intelligence & Research

  • Conduct structured research into UK and international construction markets.

  • Map specifiers, architects, structural engineers, contractors, and influencers.

  • Identify trends, project pipelines, and competitor activity.

  • Produce regular market insight reports for sales and leadership teams.

3. Lead Generation & Opportunity Development

  • Identify and qualify new business leads across key technical sectors.

  • Generate meetings for Business Development Managers.

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive database of stakeholders.

  • Carry out proactive outreach to introduce the company’s products and capabilities.

4. Business Development Support

  • Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and technical collateral.

  • Support targeted outreach campaigns into specification‑led markets.

  • Work with the sales team to prioritise key territories and market segments.

5. Sales & Marketing Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing to deliver insight‑driven campaigns.

  • Assist in planning and coordinating social media activity (primarily LinkedIn).

  • Provide feedback on content requirements and market messaging.

  • Support creation of case studies, newsletters, and digital engagement content.

6. CRM Management & Reporting

  • Maintain CRM data for improved segmentation and targeting.

  • Track progress of leads throughout the sales cycle.

  • Produce weekly/monthly dashboards on outreach activity and market findings.

Requirements

  • Experience in internal sales, sales support, lead generation, or market research

  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with external stakeholders

  • Ability to analyse and present information clearly and professionally

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)

  • High degree of organisation and attention to detail

  • Comfortable making proactive calls and outreach
