About the Role
Quality Engineer
Inspire are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to work for our successful and growing Chesterfield based client.
This role would be ideal for a Quality Engineer, Quality Inspector, or Mechanical Inspector particularly someone with hands-on experience inspecting precision-engineered components. It would also suit a candidate from a supplier quality or manufacturing quality background who enjoys working closely with sub-suppliers, has a keen eye for detail, and takes a proactive approach to resolving quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
•Inspect incoming parts and components from sub-suppliers, using appropriate measurement tools and techniques.
•Create and maintain detailed inspection reports and quality documentation.
•Ensure supplier components conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and internal quality standards.
•Work closely with sub-suppliers to address and resolve non-conformances and quality concerns.
•Participate in supplier audits and assessments as part of the supplier quality assurance process.
•Follow and promote internal quality processes and contribute to their ongoing improvement.
•Liaise with internal teams including purchasing, engineering, and production to ensure quality objectives are met.

• Previous experience in a quality engineering, quality inspection, or supplier quality role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical components, drawings, and engineering tolerances.
• Proficient with measurement and inspection tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal - capable of dealing directly with suppliers.
What you can expect:
