About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced QA Inspector / Test Technician.

Main Responsibilities

  • Inspection of PCB assemblies and electronic products to IPC-A-610 standards

  • Functional testing of electronic assemblies and finished products

  • Fault finding and diagnosis to component level

  • Investigation and repair of returned products

  • Identification and reporting of quality issues and non-conformances

  • Supporting continuous improvement and process control activities

  • Assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Maintaining accurate quality and test records

  • Supporting ISO 9001 quality management systems and internal audits

  • Working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to ensure customer      requirements are achieved

Requirements


  • Previous experience within a Contract Electronics Manufacturing (CEM/EMS) environment

  • Good understanding of SMT and PCB assembly processes

  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 workmanship standards

  • Experience of electronic product testing and inspection

  • Ability to fault-find to component level

  • Experience of repair and rework of electronic products

  • Understanding of quality control processes within electronics manufacturing

  • Experience supporting ISO 9001 quality systems

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Good communication and documentation skills

  • IPC-A-610 certification

  • Internal Auditor qualification

  • Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters and other electronic test equipment

  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
