Inspire Resourcing are currently recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of a client based in Ilkeston.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assuming responsibility for the management and delivery of large scale projects from planning through to completion, ensuring all works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality.

  • Promoting companies values of safety, integrity and excellence.

  • Preparing and managing project: programmes, delivery outputs, financial position, environmental and Health & Safety performance.

  • The ability to effectively and professionally liaise with our clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, including attending and chairing project meetings with clients and senior management.

  • To have a good understanding of the NEC contract conditions and an astute commercial awareness.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple concurrent work-faces to ensure the successful delivery of the project against the project KPI’s .

  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations, including CDM regulations, Environmental legislation and company policies.

  • To ensure compliance with all company safety, environmental and quality systems, and to drive continuous improvement and efficiency across project operations.

  • The review/assessment of in-house/subcontractor RAMS.

  • Liaise with client employees to ensure KPI’s are met or exceeded within budget constraints.

  • To manage the project team ensuring that each member has a clear set of objectives.

  • To produce project performance reports and participate in monthly financial / programme reviews for the scheme, both internally and externally.

Requirements

Qualifications:

 

  • An industry applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent.

  • H&S qualifications (desirable).

  • CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management (SMSTS) (required).

  • CSCS Black Card (required).

  • Clean Full UK Driving Licence (required).

  • First Aid at Work (desirable).

 

Requirements:

 

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site/Project Manager with a heavy emphasis on bulk earthworks.

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams across a large-scale project.

  • Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of cost control.

  • Strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills (email/phone/face to face).

  • The ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.

 

Experience:

 

  • Experience managing earthworks, including large-scale infrastructure projects (required).

  • Experience within the Highways or Major Infrastructure schemes (desirable).
