Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Chrome Plant Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at our Chesterfield facility. The successful candidate will ensure production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and health & safety procedures are strictly followed.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations of the chrome plant, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency
Lead and manage a team of operatives, providing guidance, training, and support
Monitor production output, quality, and compliance with specifications
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to health & safety standards
Organise shift schedules, allocate tasks, and manage attendance
Liaise with management on production planning, resource needs, and performance updates
Maintain accurate records of production, quality checks, and reporting systems
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions
Requirements
Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or plant environment (chrome plating or metal finishing desirable)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Good understanding of health & safety regulations in industrial settings
Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
Numerate and IT literate (comfortable with logging data and using production systems)
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Physically capable of working in a plant environment
