About the Role
We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our clients team. This hands-on role involves supporting the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment across various client sites in the UK. The position may require occasional overnight stays depending on project location and duration.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the installation, commissioning, and servicing of mechanical systems and equipment
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate implementation
Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical components
Collaborate with design and project teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including service reports and timesheets
Always adhere to health and safety protocols, both on-site and in transit
Travel to client sites across the UK, with flexibility for overnight stays as required
Requirements
NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proven experience in a mechanical engineering or field service role
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and safety procedures
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Full UK driving license (essential)
CSCS card or equivalent (desirable)
Willingness to travel and stay overnight when necessary
