About the Role
Inspire Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our well-established client in the Derbyshire area.
Requirements
Main Purpose of the Manufacturing Engineer:
To work alongside the machining teams, applications engineering-programming teams located in the production environment with a key focus on maximising machining capabilities, consistent right first-time products whilst striving to improve lead-times and maximise performance without compromise to quality.
Support the standardisation and simplification of the machining processes and documentation that enables the operators to execute their roles effectively, while enabling new employees and apprentices to have a clear standardised plan to maximise their development.
Support an effective machining operator training matrix alongside the leadership team to maximise business requirements including personal development and aspirations.
Support the development of the team with current and future machining & programming strategies/opportunities, techniques, quality, standardisation, and improvements while working alongside the manufacturing functions and external partners across the matrix.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities for the Manufacturing Engineer:
Maximise machining efficiencies through quality, consistency, lead-time improvements while ensuring a consistent and standardised approach with clear and simple documents in the form of SOPs and Work Instructions to support the operators daily tasks and future development.
Machining strategy support including all aspects of the machining processes from concept through the life cycle.
Process-related Supplier relationships, contact, products, services and quotes.
H&S Work in a safe and responsible manner.
Key Performance Indicators:
Task and project-specific, via Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound (SMART) targets.
Additional Tasks:
Control plans, process capability and industrial engineering studies.
Essential for the Manufacturing Engineer:
Machine setting and programming experience.
Minimum foundation Level 2 in mathematics.
Able to read complex manual and machine drawings.
CNC software & programming experience – Minimum 2 years (i.e., Mastercam, NX software, & Fanuc, Siemens controllers).
Robust engagement, communication and people skills.
