Logistics Coordinator


Inspire Resourcing are recruiting a Logistics Coordinator on behalf of our client in Chesterfield.

Key Role Objectives & Responsibilities:


• Proactively ensure logistic and material requirements are processed and followed up until the delivery - resolving any difficulty in the process.

• Executing optimisation program in transport routes including intermodal and drop shipping to  provide cost savings in line with group strategy.

• Responsible for managing and driving the relationship & performance of logistics partner including service level KPI’S.

• Point of contact and responsible person for all transport and external warehousing requirements.

• Support in planning key production materials and product groups.

• Support for stock management, counts, discrepancy investigation, and adjustments in line with and financial requirements supporting smooth and accurate end to end ERP & MRP      utilisation (SAP)

• Communicate with customer service and production plant / warehousing and within the UK to ensure correct forecasting to support OTIF delivery to customers whilst optimising inventory levels and availability.

• Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders in order to anticipate service issues.

• Analysis for the correct management flow of inbound and outbound goods.

• Customs & Duty Documentation and Management – Import & Export for standard and special   shipping requirements.

• Support in operational and document management to ensure maximum efficiency in line with the Quality Management System.

• Support in the management and planning of shipments.

• Drafting and updating of loading and unloading planning

• Providing support for the Supply Chain team for holiday/sickness/absence cover


Requirements

Key Skills and Experience:


• Experience using SAP is advantageous.

• Minimum Level 3 CIPS qualification (or be working towards the qualification)

• Strong IT skills Microsoft office applications (particularly Excel) required.

• Excellent communication in verbal, written and face to face forms.

• Self-starter able to organise and priorities their own workloads with excellent time

• management.

• Reasoning and analytical thinking

• High level or organisational skills

• Excellent customer service and customer communication skills and experience

• Managing interpersonal relationships

• A team player with strong personal values, showing integrity, an open mind and attentive

• listening skill.

• Able to work under pressure and to tight and changeable deadlines.

• A keen eye for detail and the ability to understand and challenge data.


Hours and Benefits: -

• £30,000 - Salary is negotiable dependent on experience
