About the Role

IT Support Engineer

Inspire Resourcing are recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to work for our global client at their Chesterfield office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous IT Support experience that wants to work in a varied role and can handle cases past 1st/2nd line stage.

Duties to include:

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and via a ticketing system.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers etc.

  • Manage and support user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and other systems.

  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and backups.

  • Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.

  • Document issues, resolutions, and create knowledge base articles for common problems.

  • Conduct regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.

  • Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement IT policies and procedures.

  • Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their technical skills and understanding.


Person Specification:

  • Previous IT support experience#

  • Familiarity with networking protocols, hardware, and configurations.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise software

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A willingness to learn and to take extra courses
