About the Role

Inspire Resourcing are recruiting a Head of Sales and Business Development, on behalf of our client based in Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor and develop a team of Area Sales Managers, creating a high-performing and collaborative sales culture.
Set sales objectives and monitor individual and team performance against agreed KPIs.
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.
Support the team with customer negotiations, commercial proposals and complex sales opportunities.
Identify opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts while supporting the generation of new business.
Analyse sales performance, forecasts and pipeline activity, providing regular reports to senior management.
Work closely with other departments to ensure customers receive an exceptional experience from enquiry through to delivery.
Review market trends, customer feedback and competitor activity to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Ensure CRM systems and sales reporting are maintained accurately and effectively.
Drive continuous improvement within the sales function through coaching, process development and performance management.

Previous experience managing a sales team within a manufacturing, engineering, technical or B2B environment.
A proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Strong leadership and people development skills.
Experience managing sales performance, forecasting and reporting.
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
A strategic and commercially focused mindset.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
The confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels of the business.
