About the Role

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer, Setter, and Operator to join a precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience across programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery ensuring efficient, high-quality production of components to tight tolerances.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

 

Programming & Setup

- Create and edit CNC programs using G-code or CAM software (e.g. Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazak)

- Interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications

- Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for production runs

- Prove out new programs and produce first-off components

 

Machine Operation

- Operate CNC milling and/or turning machines (35 axis preferred)

- Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and efficiency

- Perform routine maintenance and report tooling or equipment issues

 

Quality & Inspection

- Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, CMM)

- Ensure all components meet required tolerances and quality standards

- Maintain accurate production records and logs

 

Hours: Standard Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm & Friday 8am – 3.30pm (39 hour working week)
