About the Role

We are looking to recruit an apprentice‑trained CNC Operator to join a well‑established engineering team on day shifts. This position is ideal for a time‑served machinist who takes pride in producing high‑quality components and is confident working independently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls

  • Producing components to drawing and specification to a high standard

  • Editing existing programmes when required

  • Contributing to continuous improvement of processes and tooling

  • Safe use of overhead cranes and slings

  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area

  • Day shifts only (Monday to Thursday)

Requirements

  • Apprentice‑trained / time‑served CNC machinist

  • Strong understanding of engineering standards and Health & Safety

  • Able to work unsupervised and take responsibility for own work

  • High attention to detail and quality

  • Reliable, conscientious and proactive approach

  • Willingness to work overtime when required

  • Crane and slings certificate

  • Hourly rate of £15.94

  • Secure, long‑term employment

  • Four‑day working week

  • Day shifts only
