About the Role
We are looking to recruit an apprentice‑trained CNC Operator to join a well‑established engineering team on day shifts. This position is ideal for a time‑served machinist who takes pride in producing high‑quality components and is confident working independently.
Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls
Producing components to drawing and specification to a high standard
Editing existing programmes when required
Contributing to continuous improvement of processes and tooling
Safe use of overhead cranes and slings
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
Day shifts only (Monday to Thursday)
Requirements
Apprentice‑trained / time‑served CNC machinist
Strong understanding of engineering standards and Health & Safety
Able to work unsupervised and take responsibility for own work
High attention to detail and quality
Reliable, conscientious and proactive approach
Willingness to work overtime when required
Crane and slings certificate
Hourly rate of £15.94
Secure, long‑term employment
Four‑day working week
Day shifts only
