Inspire Resourcing are working alongside a Manufacturing company based in the Peak District who supply cutting edge technology to the Road Tunnel, Plant and Rail Safety industries.

We are assisting our client with sourcing a Stores Person/ Goods in/out Operative who will be responsible of overseeing the main Production Warehouse and ensuring the process runs smoothly and effectively. The candidate will report directly to the Production Manager.

The Role for the Stores Person/ Goods In/Out Operative:

· Take delivery of goods and supplies

· Check for damaged or missing items

· Maintain organised quarantine area for goods from suppliers with quality issues

· Locate and store goods appropriately within the warehouse

· Pick production orders according to the Production Schedule

· Notify Purchasing of stock shortages

· Pick off-the-shelf items for orders according to the Production Schedule

· Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck (desirable)

· Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system

· Keep accurate stock records

· Carry out stock counts as and when required

· Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner

· Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency

· Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies as and when required

· Ensures the QA documentation covering Stores is kept up to date with the lates procedures
